TANJUNG SELOR – The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) noted that the regional balance sheet as of December 31, 2021 experienced a positive trend. This departs from the increasing number of indicators that become the assessment sector.

The Governor of North Kalimantan, Drs. H. Zainal A Paliwang, SH., M.Hum said, the regional balance sheet of the Kaltara Provincial Government as of December 31, 2021 showed that total assets had increased by 3.11 percent.
“In 2020 the total assets were recorded at IDR 7,308,713,185,065.45, while in 2021 it increased to IDR 7,536,133,708,793.09. This means that there was an increase of IDR 227,420,523,727.64,” said the Governor recently. .

He explained that the increase in the number of assets came from the addition of regional treasury, investment, as well as fixed assets and other assets. Including the addition of these assets from a grant to the North Kalimantan Provincial Government.

In addition, the Governor continued, the total obligations of the North Kalimantan Provincial Government in 2021 also increased by Rp. 7,036,518,641.72 or 1.64 percent, from Rp. 429,111,039,905.57 in 2020 to Rp. 436,147,558,547.29 in 2021. .

“This is due to the addition of debt for health services and the addition of reclamation guarantees in 2021,” he said.

Then, the government’s equity or net worth balance, which is the difference between the government’s assets and liabilities on the balance sheet as of December 31, 2021, comes from the final equity in the statement of changes in equity.

“So, the equity balance includes the final SAL (budget balance),” he said.
The equity balance as of December 31, 2021 was recorded at IDR 7,099,986,150,245.80. When compared to the equity balance in the previous period, there was an increase of Rp. 220,384,005,085.92 or 3.20 percent, because in 2020 it was only Rp. 6,879,602,145,159.88.
Of course, in order to realize good governance, especially in the management of regional finances, the North Kalimantan Provincial Government tries to carry out financial management by always obeying the principles, being efficient, transparent, accountable and based on applicable laws and regulations.
“This is what makes the North Kalimantan Provincial Government again get the WTP opinion (unqualified) on the 2021 Regional Government Financial Report (LKPD). This is the 8th time it has been obtained in a row. Hopefully in the future this can be maintained,” he concluded. (dkisp)
